Pay: Paid to scale

A well‑regarded secondary school in Bournemouth is seeking a committed and knowledgeable Religious Studies Teacher to cover a long‑term staff absence. The successful candidate will join a supportive humanities department and contribute to high‑quality teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4.

This role requires strong subject knowledge, effective classroom management, and the ability to deliver engaging lessons that promote critical thinking and respectful discussion. The school offers a positive working environment, established behaviour systems, and a leadership team committed to supporting staff throughout the duration of the cover.

Key Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Strong background in Religious Studies

Ability to teach KS3 and KS4

Availability to start immediately

Commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning
